WHAT THIS DEMONSTRATES

What This Case Demonstrates

This case shows why a vocational qualification often needs more than the certificate itself to be properly recognized. See the IndoWorld Evidence Integrity Framework for more on this reasoning.

Holders of vocational qualifications can check our Opportunity Card eligibility page to see where recognition fits into the requirements. The Germany Opportunity Card page covers the complete route, and applicants across Gujarat can start from our Gujarat Opportunity Card page.

OFFICIAL REQUIREMENTS

What the official guidance says an applicant like this must show

Recognition of a vocational qualification is handled separately from the visa itself, and the official pages are clear about this. The points below are general guidance, not a description of a real recognition file.

IF AN APPLICATION WAS REFUSED

If your application was refused – what to look for in the letter

If a rejection letter refers to the qualification, check whether the reason is recognition, the points claimed for it, or the supporting documents, because these are handled by different bodies. The German Mission in India states that the rejection letter already gives the reason, that the visa section does not add explanations by email, and that an applicant may apply again at any time or file a lawsuit against the rejection within one month at the administrative court in Berlin (the remonstration procedure is no longer available at the German visa sections in India). German Mission India: if a national visa application is rejected ↗ It also warns that knowingly false or incomplete information can lead to refusal. German Mission India: declaration on true and complete information ↗ Our qualification recognition and eligibility pages explain the usual requirement areas.

Have a refusal letter in front of you?

If an earlier visa application of yours, for any country, was refused, you can email the letter and the application documents to IndoWorld. IndoWorld experts read the letter and compare it with the application that was refused. The review can be done by video call, phone call or in person at the Vadodara office, and there is no charge for the review of a refusal. Get your refusal letter reviewed.
