IndoWorld Document Logic
Not just a checklist of what to submit — an explanation of what each document actually establishes, and what it needs to agree with.
No document guarantees an outcome. The explanations below describe why each document is typically requested and how it fits with the rest of a file — they are not a statement of official government policy, and requirements vary by visa route and by individual case. Always check the official requirements for your specific visa before applying, and treat this as preparation guidance, not a substitute for them.
Most visa guidance stops at “submit a bank statement” or “attach an employment letter.” That’s true but incomplete — a document doesn’t help your application just by being present in the folder. It helps when it establishes something specific, and when it agrees with everything else you’ve submitted. This page covers eight of the documents that come up most often across visa applications, and for each one: what it actually establishes, why it matters, what it needs to be consistent with, and the misunderstanding we see most often about it. See the IndoWorld Application Intelligence Framework for how this fits into the bigger picture of preparing an application.
